Why I like Summer…

I like Summer because it is a nice and hot season and you can do lots of fun things. In the water you can have lots of fun like play volleyball and play water tag with your cousins, sisters and your brother. The first thing you can do in Summer is take your family to the pools to have some fun like play races with your siblings and cousins. The other thing is that you can take your family to the beach and have so much more fun with your family because you can eat there and no one can tell you what to do like at the pools.

Why I don’t  like Summer…

Why I don’t like summer because it is always hot and some people wouldn’t get up. If you don’t like Summer it is a good thing because you can get sunburn and that is so bad because it hurts you when you want to touch it to put the cream on your sunburn. It is hard to find suncream at the shops too that is why I don’t like Summer. It is bad for the parents because they are so tired from the big work at home and the other thing is that they can get hot and would want to go for a nice and cold shower.

On Saturday it was a big game for the Tongan team because they were vs England in the semi final. If you watched the game England would take the ball of Tonga and that is not fair and the referee didn't even care about it. I wish that the referee said to see if the England did take the ball off Tonga.

Room 12's volcano

Today in room 12 we made a volcano, but not a real one. What you need for your ingredients is vinegar, baking soda, dishwashing liquid, water and food coloring. When my teacher put all the ingredients I so excited for what it was going to look like. When you put it all together it will blow up like a real volcano, but it doesn't make any sounds. If you want to try this at home please make sure that you make a volcano so that it will blow in the volcano not on the floor or table.

On Saturday the kiwis vs the MMT at rugby. The game was the biggest game of the Tongans in their lives.

When the game started it was cool because the MMT team was losing by 2 points and the Kiwis were winning by 16 points, but then when then when the MMT got better they got more points and got up to 28 and the Kiwis had 22 points. Then when the time was running out of time. Then lucky the time went out and the MMT won the game. When MMT won everyone in the Tonga team group all started cry, but only some.

Congratulations to the tongan rugby team I wish you a good luck on the world cup. Why people went to the game because their wanted to support your team and give you the best of luck their can. I was really happy for the Tongan team when they won the game. The score that Samoa got was 18 and The score that the tonga got was 32 and that was a good score. I will give you all my good luck to your final game.

On November some of my classmates are going to the island Rangitoto. When we get their I want to see new things that I haven't seen before.

Why I want to go their ?

I would like to go there because I haven't been their and because that I would like to see what it looks like in real life. When I get their I would love to go and explore the whole mountain with my friends and my teacher.

What I have to take with me ?

When I go there I would have to take a water, lunch and a little backpack to take my things. When I go I have to take walking shoes and a jumper just if it is raining.

When we got to the art gallery we learned different ways to do patterns and then we had a paper of a picture that had a jar on it and we had to write things that we liked to do like playing sports, going to places that we like going to and what kind of pet we like.

What I like about the art gallery is that we got to learn new things like patterns and we got to write about what we like to do, but my favourite part was looking at all of the beautiful art on the wall.

WALT see if sugar can change from a solid to liquid if that can be reversed.

What you do first ? You put some sugar in a cup then you get some water and mix it with a spoon . After that you go and warm up your frypan so that you can put the liquid into the frypan, then after awhile you let it steam because it will turn back to sugar itself. After that you wait for it to cool down so you can take it off, but only if it has cooled down.

What I think about the sugar ?

I thought that when you put the liquid in the frypan that it won’t go solid, but when you put the liquid in the frypan it will go back to solid. You should try this at home, but ask someone that is older than you like your parents or auntie and uncle then if they say yes you can make it with your sister or brother.

Today my teacher has told the class that when you put salt and water together the salt will turn into liquid.

What do you think about the salt and water turning back to salt ?

Today my teacher showed the class that when you put salt into a cup and then put water it turns into liquid. Then you put the liquid into the frypan and let it steam it will be fast if you put the frypan high, after when it has finished you can take the salt off and put it in your salt container and here is a photo of what the salt looked like in the frypan.

How I feel when I saw the salt and water turn back to oranigel salt ?

When I saw the water turn back to the salt I feel so surprise because this is my first time seeing water and salt turn back to oranigel salt. You can try this at home if you want to, but asked a adult first. Please comment if you like science because this is science that I am writing about.

Why I would be at school than at home because you can learn more about things that your teacher has learned when he/she was at school.

If you are at home and on a holiday you will miss your friends so much that you will ask you mum/dad if you can go to your friends house and play with her/he that is why I like to go to school. If you wish that every year would be a school day I would be so happy and that I would want to wake up early and go to school early with my mum or dad to work.

If you had no brothers and sister and you are at home having a holiday you will get so borned that you will think of going to school and play with your friends that is why I like school and if you have a older brother or sister and they always go out with their friends and they don’t like playing with you would think of going to school and don’t staying at home.

Daylight savings.

Daylight saving is cool because you can save the power at your house and use the sun outside. Like when you are doing your work in the afternoon you can get a chair and go outside and if you have a table outside you can sit outside and use the sun instead of the light. If you learn more about daylight savings I am sure that you will like daylight savings.

Batman saves his family from the Joker.

One day batman and his family went out to go and save the bank because some robberies always robby the bank. When they went back to their home all of their weapons were gone.  Then they went to go and ask the joker because that is batman's worst enemy every so the family went to go and see the joker at his house, when they got their batman pushed the door as hard as he can and went to joker and asked did you take our weapons and he said no I haven’t so batman's family went to go and searched the joker's house and they all found their weapons and went back home. Then the joker planned to kidnap batman’s family.

So the next day batman went out to go and save an old woman from a man who stole the old woman’s bag. Then when batman got home his family was gone then batman was so angry that he went back to the joker's house and batman went to go to joker and batman got joker on the shirt and threw him on the wall and batman said to joker why is my family and the joker said that they are in the place where I keep my monstars, then batman went to go and find which room that they were in and batman found them. Then batman let them free and they went to go back to joker and batman went to go and tie joker on his throne, then they went back home and had dinner and they had a happy life.

In the morning my classroom went to go and visit Harold in the life caravan.

In the caravan I learned about new body parts like a appendix. A appendix is by the large intestine and it does not provide any benefits to humans. Animals have appendix too, it works for them because they eat grass. It goes down their large intestine somehow the appendix kills the bugs inside the animal's

large intestine. I didn't know that my liver has over 500 jobs to do and that is a good thing because I know only one thing about what my livers do they store out minerals and vitamins.

Yesterday room 4, 6, 8, 7, 10, 11 and room 12 we went to the hall to go and see the Warriors. When all the classes arrived to the hall we got to meet one of the Warriors player and he was pretty funny that the school started to laugh and even the teachers. Then we got to meet the other Warrior players and their names were Zack and Junior. Then the school got into some games with the Warriors, when we went into the game Zack and Junior had to pick a person for their group leader. After the games the Warriors were talking about when to drink water and when to have a good night sleep.
Kids have 11 hours to sleep and adults have 8 hours to sleep because adults have to finish their work paper. If you stay up and play video games then it will make you stay up all night then, when the sun comes up you will be tried. Drinking water is good for your body and when you play sports like netball and ruby make sure that you drink during the game.

On Monday I didn’t go to school because I was sick and that sickness is going around and getting kids and adults sick too.

  When you are sick and you stay home with your grandma or grandpa and if they can’t take you to the doctor then you can wait for your mum or dad, but if it is getting worse then you can call your mum at work to take you to the doctor.

This sickness maybe going around the world and maybe some kids are getting sick, if you have kids and if they are getting sick then you may take them to the doctor before it gets any worse. For example when I woke up I felt like  I had a hot head, running nose and coughing.

When people get sick it is not a good idea to go work or school because you can make your mates sicks and that can keep on going to other people.  Like sometimes your mum and dad can get your sickness that’s why you stay in bed.

Get some sleep and have some soup that will make you feel better.  But, if that doesn't work then you can go to the doctor they will give you some medicine to help get that  sickness under control and do the same thing go to bed, sleep, soup and have your medicine those are the things that will help you get butter.

We were so excited to go to netball coaching because this year we are doing netball for 8 weeks, but the to last weeks we are going to do the really game of netball.When it is my class’s turn for netball we had to line up outside and wait for our teacher so we can go and wait for the the coaches to tell my class what to do when we play netball. When the two coaches came she said what we are going to do and what not to do when she finished talking she told us to get in pairs so I went with my friend. Then the coaches said to get a ball and stand across from each other and they explained to us what to do when we are playing a game, they said that we are going to do some throwing like head throw, bounce throw and other kinds of throws. After that we got to play some games then after that we played another game it was called over under and then we had to say thank you for telling us how to throw in different ways.

Matilda is a movie that was made in England in 1996 and that is a long time ago. The main character is Mara Wilson she was born in July the 24th. The movie matilda was the little girl that has powers like control things with her mind. Her best friend in the movie was Kiami Davael she was Mara Wilson best friend until now. Why I pick this movie to write about is because that I think it is a good and funny movie and if you watch the movie I hope you like it. In this movie Mara is the daughter of a father and a mother that the name is Rhea Perlman and  danny devito. In this movie Mara has a little brother that will also bully her and when she got mad she would use her powers on her step brother.

What I have learned today with the other people that came from another job that is called Ey.

Other things that I have learned with them is some maths, simple machines and giraffes.

I hope that next year too that it can keep going. The best teacher I had in the club was a girl and she was so nice, helpful and beautiful and her name is called Emily. I hope that she is my teacher every Wednesday.

 All the classes had to make a toy on a simple machine like a pulley, ramp, inclined plane and a lever.

What I made for my toy was a well what kind of simple machine I used was a, pulley because in the olden days people used wells to get water from the deep ground.

How I made my toy was with some cardboard box, string, a big tin, one bottle cap and a cap from a board pen.

Why I wanted to make the toy was because back in the olden days people had to use a well just to get some water from the deep ground.

I think it was a good idea to make a well because I would like to teach my little five - year - old cousins so that they can put water in it and I hope that when they are older that they can make their own well like a real well at the back of their garden.

The most cool toy I saw at the hall on Friday was the catapult and how it works is you have to put a small ball on the spoon then pull the spoon back and then let it go so it can go very far. A student from rm six made the catapult by a stick, spoon, small ball and some glue. How you make the catapult is that you have to get your sticks and then glue them together then you get your spoon and glue it to the stick. Why I think that it is a cool toy because you can play with your friend with it like you can play war like you have yo try and get them by shooting them with the small balls.

How I stay safe around  electricity. How to stay safe away from electricity the first thing to do is when you see a cordline that has been broken you have to stay away from it and make sure that nobody gets hurt. Don't walk thought the power lines when a tree has fallen onto it stay six metres away from the power lines. The other thing how to stay safe is that if you have a kite fly it in a open space because you can get your kite into the power lines and the power lines can be broken. When I am older I would want to buy myself a puppy because I have been dreaming of having one for a long time. I need to look after my puppy and I would have to name her Ella because it’s sounds like a good name to me.

How to look after my puppy is to walk it every day, feed it, play with it and make sure it gets enough sleep.

I will get me a puppy when I am 20 or 25 because then  I will have a job so I can buy it.

When I get the puppy I will walk it after I finish work, then we will come back home and have dinner. After that I will go and have a shower, then after I finish showering I will get into my clothes and then I will give my puppy a bath. Thereafter  I will go and sit down and watch T.V. and my  puppy will come and lay on me and she will fall asleep. When she sleeps  I will put her in her bed then I will go to bed and go to work in the morning, but that is when I am older like 20 or 25.

Intro: This story is a story about a princess when she is born the Queen and King decided to invite other people to the palace and the seven fairs to the palace.

Body: Once upon a time There lived a King and Queen they had a princess and then the King had decided to invite some people to the palace, and invite the fairs to the palace too, but when the king had ordered his servants to invite everyone that the king wanted, but there was a problem the king's servants didn’t know how many fairs to invite because there was seven fairs so the king said to invite all of the fairs and to get all of them fairs a girt. So the king wanted to get the fairs a golden caskets so the servants went to go and get seven golden caskets for the fairs. When all the guests had arrived that is when the King, Queen and the princess and the seven fairs had came out of the room. Then the day came for the christening for the princess, but then the door fell off and and one mad fair walk into the room and said this to the King you didn’t invite to the christening and you didn’t invite to the christening and the King I had thought that she had moved away from her because she had live at the bottom of the well after, all the fairs made their wish the made fairs made her wish. Her wish was on her 16th birthday she will  prick her finger on the spinner and she will die. But then the seventh fair came and she had seen everything that the mad fair had said so the seventh fair made her wish and she said that she will not die when she prick her finger on the spinner she will sleep for 100 years. So after that the king ordered everyone in the village to burn their spinner so the princess won’t prick her finger on the spinner. Then when it was the princess birthday that she had turned 16 and she felt that she had to do something so she went to her grandmother's house just to visit her then she asked her grandmother what is that and she said it is a spinner and her grandmother asked her if she wants to spin and the princess said yes. After that the princess fell on the ground because she prick her on the spinner then after that everyone in the village fell asleep even the barker the boy that went fishing with his dad, then a prince came from another village came to save everyone so he went to go and find the princess. After a while the prince found the princess and he kissed her on the lips and she woke up and everyone from the village woke up too and they both got married.

Cousin: How I felt in this story I feel a bit sad because when the mad fair came in the room were all the people were and when she made her wish she and said that on her 16th birthday she will prick her finger on the spinner and she will die.

What I need to make my butter.

1. Cream
2. Salt
3. Churn
4. Sieve
5. Bowl / Container.

Method.

• First what you need to make your butter is you have to put some mike in a bowl or a Container and leave it on the table for a while.
• Next after a while you go and get the sieve and scoop up the cream and then you get the churn and churn the cream for 40 mins.
• Then after 40 mins you get out a container, net and a net after you get all of the things you need to finish the butter you put the butter in the container and get some mike water and put the net on top.
• After that you turn the container upside down so the mike water can come out of the container and then you do it again after that you put some salt on the butter soem the butter can last longer.
• Finally you can put your butter in a shape of a circle or what ever shape you want.

MY BEST HOLIDAY EVER!

In the holiday on Friday it was my cousin’s birthday and this time it was going to be an amazing day because it was my first day of having more time with my cousin.

I was so excited to go to the movies with my family for my cousins 7th birthday. When I told my cousin that we are going to the movies to watch Boss Baby she was so excited so we all got ready . When we got to Sylvia Park we all went to where she was so excited the movies. When we got to the movies we all waited for my uncle to pay before we got in to watch the movie. After five minutes we watched the movie and it took one hour. Then we went to KFC for lunch. When we finished lunch we got to go home and there was decorations,cake, lollies,food and drinks. The coolest part was that all my family from the Cook islands came to their niece’s birthday. On Sunday they went back to their homes.

I was happy and excited because when my birthday comes I am going to ask if we can go to Hamilton to have a bbq at my aunt’s house so I can have an amazing time with my cousin.
